Rod Wishart
Rod Wishart was a Rugby League point scoring machine, constantly breaking records. His performances for both N.S.W. and Australia were brilliant.
He played as winger and goal kicker.
He played in 17 Tests for Australia scoring 13 tries, 43 goals for a total of 138
points in 1991-92 and 1994-96.
In State of Origin, he played 22 matches for N.S.W. scoring 5 tries, 23 goals for a
total of 66 points, 1990-98.
Over his first grade career, which spanned from 1989 to 1999 he played in 179 games scoring 78 tries, 390 goals for a total of 1,092
points.
Born in Gerringong, and coached by Michael Cronin as a teenager, Rod still resides in the town and is raising his family here.
